Amy

Amy is AV WELLBEING’s owner. She has 14 years experience working in Mental Health services, where she has worked directly with individuals with a variety of mental health needs including anxiety, depression and enduring mental illness.

When working in healthcare, alongside direct clinical work, Amy developed training packages for teams in a. variety of topics. These training packages included ‘ Supporting people with Autism’, ‘understanding learning disabilities’, ‘personal and professional boundaries at work’ and ‘risk assessment’. Amy also developed and evaluated the ‘building our resilience’ programme and presented the outcomes at the division of Forensic psychology conference in 2018. This followed a year long evaluation of the training course and the positive impact it had on the knowledge and skills of the delegates. She ran the training for a variety of professionals including doctors, nurses, psychologists and occupational therapists in hospitals around the country.

Due to Amy’s enjoyment and passion delivering training she created AV WELLBEING. She continued to run workshops for healthcare providers and then choose to branch out to corporate business. This following an evident need for more mental health support in the workplace. Amy wanted to ensure that businesses are provided with the toolkits and guidance to be able to support employees in a compassionate and non- judgemental way.

Amy is also a Mental Health First Aid instructor, and a Menopause Expert and her main aim is to make sure that people are promoting change in their business. Therefore, she has developed an approach to Mental Health in the workplace that will equip employers and managers with the tools to promote cultural change, where mental health becomes destimagtised and companies can obtain healthy, compassionate, resilient and more productive workplaces.

Meet the team. Krista. Mental health and wellbeing

Krista

Krista is our associate nutritional therapist. She delivers our ‘cultivating a healthy gut for good mental health‘ program. Krista became a nutritional therapist after her own personal struggles with gut health. She tried many over the counter medications and random diets, but her symptoms only became worse and even new symptoms started to appear such as acne and anxiety. She decided to take matters into her own hands, which lead her to discover how nutrition can have such a huge impact on our health and wellbeing.

Krista has completed a 3-year diploma in Nutritional therapy. She now works 1:1 with people struggling with their own gut health, hormonal imbalances, and chronic diseases. Nutritional therapy works by taking a full body approach to your health, so if you are someone who struggles with IBS, she wont just look at your gut health but investigate other areas of your body such as energy levels, any hormonal imbalances and current lifestyle habits which could be mediating your symptoms. It’s so important to remember that we are all unique so what may work for one person, may not work for another. Krista always has this thought in my mind when seeing clients, so she can investigate thoroughly what is going to help them heal.

Krista also delivers talks and training for groups of people online and in person.
