FEEDBACK

“Lovely course leader, fantastic understanding of the subject and was very good at encouraging the group to participate. Excellent course will recommend”.

“I don’t think we could have asked for a better course instructor. Amy was polite, friendly, informative and made such a difficult topic easily understandable. She made the course interesting and fun but still managed to keep the seriousness and the importance of the topic at hand at the forefront of our minds at all times. I have already recommended the course to a couple of people, only having completed it today, based on my own experience.”

DELEGATE, FREETHS SOLICITORS (MAY)

“I have had my eyes opened in relation to how to deal with mental ill health. They ways I would have previously approached situations were not the best way to deal with a situation and now feel so much better equipped. Amy, our instructor was wonderful, she kept us involved and engaged and delivered the information very well. I found that I did not have nearly as much knowledge and that there are so many variants to consider.”

I have attended the full MHFA and refresher MHFA course with Amy and found both incredibly interesting and insightful. Amy navigates complex and sensitive subjects with ease, it was a pleasure to complete her courses and I felt well informed and confident after completing them.

I had the pleasure of having Amy as my mentor during university. She went above and beyond to help me develop my CV, job applications and interviews. She is lovely, passionate about her work and more than helpful! She took the time to answer questions and give me insight to career routes and experiences that she has completed. I was able to learn and develop my skills under her supervision. I am very grateful for her time given to help me in my next steps to my career in mental health/psychology.

From start to finish I have bene overwhelmed by the competence and professionalism of Amy, my instructor. I was fortunate enough to have 1:2:1 support as other potential attendees had to withdraw, so likely enjoyed even greater benefit from being able to ask questions of personal relevance. Amy's insights, approach, experiences, quailfications make her success as a MHFA trainee unquestionable. Her style, manner and attitude all inspire confidence as well as a sense of calm in how to support those in need. Thank you Amy - and to MHFA England.

Great course, lots of information for all elements including the background of the common types of illness, identifying symptoms, tools to support understanding and managing situations/ conversations, details of professional help and further reading. The sessions were really relaxed and I felt confident to be able to ask any questions I had. As there were only two of us on the course and Amy was really friendly and engaging, this made it easy to be open about personal situations and talk these through as examples.

Amy was a great course leader, she had extensive knowledge of the content of the mental health first aid course and was able to answer all the questions we had as a group. Amy was able to give her own personal experiences of the content which I found very helpful as it gave examples of ways we can put the content of the course into day to day practice. The course was run very well online, I think that the use of both the manual and work book together allowed me to learn a lot of the content whilst also enforcing ways that we could use these in real life scenarios. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wanted to learn about how to help people with mental ill health as I now feel equipped to help the people around me, making sure they get the help that they may need.
